Fall Brings Fun and Sickness

The weekend after the Halloween carnival, Kyle and I took a date.  Nothing fancy.  Went and grabbed some yummy chinese food.  I'm eating Gluten Free right now, so Chinese is fairly easy to do.  Then we went to Boondocks were we had money on game cards, or thought we did.  We put just a couple bucks on them again, and played some arcade games.

 The following picture is from when watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the one with Johnny Depp) as a family.  Everytime something happened to the children, Dexter would wig out.  It was really bad with the first ones.  Like total jumping around, crying, and such anxiety.  By the last one he would still cry, but not as intensely.

 We've all been sick off and on October and November.  So lots of indoor play, and then outdoor when everybody is feeling mostly well.

 Kyle has some tendencies to hold on to items.  This is one he convinced me to keep since we've been married, and it finally got to be used.  A whole sky full of glow-in-the-dark stars.  Some hanging ones too.  Look closely and there's a big dipper which even points to a little dipper.  We're nerds.

 In November, Audrey had a baby shower in Park City.  Flynn and I drove over to have fun in the celebrating of her little girl to-be.

Halloween - WahoooOooo!

Dexter got to choose our family costume theme this year.  One of his favorite shows is "The Magic School Bus" and he said he wanted to be the bus.  The rest of us picked (aka Mom assigned) who we'd be.

The costumes were pretty simple.  One trip to D.I. and I was able to find most things, with a bit of modification, that would be perfect.

 The city's Halloween Carnival was two weeks early this year.  I had to finish in time, and I barely made it.  So here's everyone's individual shots of us getting ready for the party.

 Dexter's preschool had a field trip to our local farm and corn maze.  They have a lot of fun stuff in a courtyard for kids to do, and I knew I couldn't handle all 3 kids by myself.  Kyle took the afternoon off and joined us.  First we did a hay ride where we went pumpkin picking, then free time in a large courtyard.  There were lots of slides, from little ones, to two stories tall ones.  The kids loved them all.

 They loved the cow train.  At first Ellie was quite hesitant to go on it.  As it pulled out of the station, her face conveyed thoughts of: "MOM! DAD! What have you done to me?!"  Then pulling back in, there was just a big ol' grin on.  She even requested it as her last activity, and after getting out of it she said, "The cow twain go...uh uuuhhh, uh, uhhh."  And mimiking how it bounces around.
