So this week my best friends have been....
So why hot chocolate and tissues...because I caught a cold. It hasn't been too bad. Just a sore throat and lots of nose issues, and absolutely no energy.
Well...other than that we had a good weekend. Had another game night. We played some Sorry Revenge, Carcassone and then some Wii games.Saturday was just errands and chores...exciting. Monday I let Kyle have his own day. I had some errands to run, and figured he doesn't get many days just to do whatever he wants.
I also made some jam on Monday. I had bought 9 lbs of strawberries from Bountiful Baskets and needed something to do with them. I had wanted to make jam and can it. However, I didn't fully read and follow the directions so I salvaged it into freezer jam. I still had a bunch of regular strawberries leftover, so now I have a lots that's also frozen. I love strawberries though, so I'm not complaining.
Well now that my belly seems to grow a lot in just a day or two, I'll be posting photos documenting it a little more frequently. This is the 32 week mark.
Kyle even now remarks about how big I'm getting. I know he's not calling me fat or anything, but the way he says it is just funny.

Welcomings
We made our last trip to Vegas until the baby comes. Its so weird to think that. Only a few short 9 weeks until the due date. As you know most Vegas trips are not just us loafing around, but more of a crazy pack everything in type of trip. And this one was just that. But there were lots of photos... :)
The drive down wasn't too bad. Didn't have to stop as frequently as I imagined it'd be by this point. Anyways, we drove down Friday morning. Once in Vegas and the car unloaded we didn't have much time to just do nothing. My mom was doing everything to get her house ready for the baby shower. Kyle of course wasn't going to stick around for this. He took a TV and the wii over to the Hansens to prepare for his guy night. Guests finally arrived. There were a lot of relatives and friends who came. It was great to see them since on our normal trips we don't get to see much other than our immediate families.
Well Wendy was the photographer so I'll share some of the pictures.
The next morning we got to go pick Tyler up from the airport. He was back from his mission to Argentina!

Left: My cousin once removed, Piper, found the giraffe in one of my bags and loved it so much. It was sad to take it away from her. Right: Amy brought little Michael. He was such a good behaved baby.
It was a great baby shower and so fun to see everyone. There were a LOT more photos, but I thought I'd spare ya'll saying there's a lot more to our weekend. The next morning we got to go pick Tyler up from the airport. He was back from his mission to Argentina!
Audrey had made a sign for him at home
Just chilling and waiting
He's HOME! Mom and Pop Hansen were so happy to see him.
PS the guy's face in the back is great. There's like 3 photos he's in.
Talking about how scruffy he was...he had been travelling since Tuesday non stop, and now it was Saturday
Haven't seen each other in 3 years
Typical missionary shoe....holes, dirt, and just busted up everywhere
The almost complete Hansens...just missing Trevor
After the airport we had one of the foods that Tyler requested....Little Caesars pizza. We got to hang out with the Hansens and hear Tyler's stories until my family called. My brother and his family had now arrived in from Texas. We hadn't seen them since last April when they moved out to Texas. So we hurried over. When we arrived little Jane was asleep, and everyone else was playing games. So we joined in and just played Dominion and Carcassone.
Sunday was Tyler's talk. He hadn't even been home for 24 hours. He did a great job though. We stayed a little at the Hansens, and then went over to join my family again. In the evening though we joined Kyle's cousins to celebrate Preston's birthday and Tyler's homecoming.
Kyle teasing Jane with the alligator puppet. She would run to mom or dad, and do fake little cries of distress. It was pretty funny.
Mid action shot of Preston blowing out the candles in one breath
Interesting photo from the night
Since the Hansens either had to work or go to school on Monday, except for Tyler we hadn't planned anything really. There were a few errands, but they were done quickly.
On Tuesday it was time to go back home. My family actually drove up too. There was something they were going to do in Provo, along with visit with my sister who goes to BYU. It was a long drive back up, but we made good time. In Provo, we all went out to dinner at Tucano's. Here...we stuffed our bellies full. That grilled pineapple is so good.
Kyle...eagerly awaiting all the food
Taking a family picture inside of it...all together for a while, and for a while to come
Another family picture...but with stuffed and bulging stomachs
After dinner we went back to my parent's motel room. Melynn had fun playing with Jane and the rest of us really didn't do much. We couldn't stay long, and soon had to finish the rest of our journey home.
Such a great weekend. Thanks to all those that I saw at the baby shower!

Nocturnal
So one of the things I'm loving the most of being pregnant is feeling the little boy kick and move all over. However, it has seemed lately that he's not on the same schedule I am. During the day he's not very active. Well if I eat something sugary he is. However, starting at dinner time and going until morning he flips and twirls and moves. Usually this isn't a problem. Two nights ago though I had a dream where in it the baby was kicking hard and constantly. In the dream he was kicking so hard that I was even bruising. Suddenly I woke up and the baby was kicking really hard and everywhere. No bruising in real life though. Maybe he's just getting me ready for the lovely restless nights that will be coming up.
This is a random piece, just like above, but a small tiny chunk of the giant snow family is surviving. I had Kyle take a picture of it, because who knows how long it'll last. Here's that picture though:

Just a little bit of ice left....and supposedly there's also the wife's hair rollers (pine cones) in it too.
Well this weekend we invited some people from the ward over. The guy is a computer programmer so Kyle's been wanting to share some stuff with him. The wife is pretty quiet so I was a little worried. I made Cafe Rio style salads for dinner. I personally want to say...they were amazing. I stole recipes for the dressing, rice and steak online. Although it was a lot of work to get everything done, I loved mine better than cafe rio. The evening went well, and it was nice to have people over.
Kyle making the guacamole
Well on Monday I hit 30 weeks. Only 10 more to go. It's kind of crazy. I had Kyle take pictures of me, and we snagged a group one in too.
Yep...there's a large bump.
Ahhh...family picture
This kid is coming into a crazy family

Lazy Bums and Frozen Butt
So this weekend..What'd we do? Nothing. And it was great. Well obviously it wasn't completely nothing. But just little things here and there, and a bunch of chilling at home. It was rather nice because I just didn't feel like going out.
There was one point on Saturday where an experience happened, that I would never like again. I had stood up and suddenly felt an immense pressure on my lungs, felt like I couldn't breathe, and my heart was pounding so fast. This was already horrible feeling, but then I panicked and it escalated. I tried to do relaxation breaths that I've been learning just to feel like I was breathing. i also tried different ways of walking, sitting and laying down. Nothing was working. Finally Kyle came over and just helped me calm down and it eventually went away. It was just so sudden, and I was glad that Kyle was there to help me. It wasn't a contraction, but I joked with him that it'll be a lot harder than that though come a couple months.
Hmmm other things. Oh yeah, its freezing up here. Inside the house is even a little cooler feeling than normal. But outside is a different thing. To help out at the school I have to walk .6 miles. Yesterday I wanted to give up. Today I was more prepared and did better. Why? Well the temperature when I left the house both days was under 15 degrees, it was a windy day making the walk......0 or -1 degrees. I did it though...to and fro both times.
Well I'm excited because coming up in a couple weekends is another weekend in Vegas...and it's already packed. On the agenda....baby shower! Kyle's brother returning from mission! My brother and his family visiting! Just with those three the long weekend will be super super busy, but fun too.
