I better post all about our Thanksgiving, before Christmas passes too.
It's been a cold fall/winter already so indoor play is what we do. Dex can sometimes be creative about this, although they may not fly with mom.

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Kyle and I noticed some wet fiberglass in our basement ceiling. uh oh. There had been a small leak gone unnoticed. We tightened the toilet tank, and voila problem solved. Just had to air out, and soon replace the fiberglass.

I need to compare a picture of her to Dexter. I see some similarities, but I think they do look different.

He loves his baby sister so much. Runs and gets her anything. Shares his toys with her. Although that might be because he knows they'll be given back right away. It is pretty dang sweet, and easy with how much he loves her.
We drove down to Vegas the day before Thanksgiving. Besides busy traffic, nothing out of the ordinary. And no throw-up moments. YAY for our minivan and how we can prevent the car sickness!
There was one funny moment. Kyle had wanted to try some Taco Bell for lunch. Cedar City was the first one going to have it on the way down. So we pull off the highway, get some gas. The plan was to get the food then go to the park. Anyways, we're driving down Main Street looking for the restaurant, when suddenly we had gone the whole way around and were now getting back on the freeway. Luckily the kids were being good, and it is only a 45 minute drive to St. George for their Taco Bell instead.
And since we needed to stop, whose house is better than a grandma's? Grandma LeBaron got to meet Ellie!

We again had two Thanksgivings. At the Thompson's we had Grandpa LeBaron and Grandma Thompson over. Then after that delicious feast we drove to the Ingram's and had Thanksgiving dinner with the Hansens.
There was of course lots of food and eating. Then some singing and music playing.
I even went...BLACK THURSDAY SHOPPING! I was never planning on it, but saw an ad for the exact item we wanted to get Dexter and it was 20 dollars off. So Leanne, Suzie, Leah, and Joseph joined us to go to Target. We were like 5 minutes after it opened, so no standing in a line for us. But the Big Wheel was gone by the time we got there. One of the employees found 1 more in stock and gave it to...the person in front of us. I was so bummed. However, always bring your secret weapon. Aunt Suzie! She through her amazing people skills and determination, got the help of a different Target employee and we got the Big Wheel!!
By the time I got back to Jana's the guys were playing video games, and this was Dexter.
On official Black Friday, Kyle joined in the yearly tradition of golfing. With two kids now it's easier to stay at home with Leanne. I also got to do a little photoshoot with Audrey. Still rusty, but slowly warming up again. This picture below is the blurry one of a good one I took. I had already done what I have to do so it can show up on the blog, and I was too lazy to redo that for the one I actually needed.
Saturday we had been invited to a surprise party, but they didn't know we would actually be coming. So we surprised the host (Wendy) as well as her husband, Chris. It was fun to have a little get together because other friends of ours were there too.
While with my family we also took family pictures.
We also visited the Ethel M. Cactus Garden. They put Christmas lights up, and you can just wander through.

Our trip was quickly over, and we headed back to home. This year though we actually got a Christmas tree to set up! We inherited it from my mom, and Leanne gave us all the decorations. Dexter and I had fun setting up the Christmas tree and other decorations. We try to talk about Christmas but he still doesn't grasp it all. But now he is all excited for the presents under the tree.
Also...winter has hit. Bummer.
And it hasn't gotten above freezing outside in a couple weeks. Which makes it so there's an nasty inversion (really bad air quality). Today there also was a thick fog ALL day.
Well we find ways to keep busy.
