This has been the year of weddings for sure. Audrey's in September, Jake's in March, and to finish it up is Tyler's this past weekend.
Even though I was less a month from due date we still all went down as a family to this last wedding. What made it special is that every sibling (with their spouses/family) were there! It's the first time. At our wedding Audrey and Trevor were on missions. For Trevor's wedding, Tyler was then on his mission. Then for the last two Trevor missed because they were during school semesters.
Well anyways, back to our trip. My doctor gave me the go ahead easily. "Las Vegas has lots of hospitals, it's all good." However, she did suggest I wear compression socks for in the car. Made me feel like a 70 year old.

We left at nap time so the kids would do a good chunk of sleep. That meant we also got to see the beautiful desert sunset. It was gorgeous and two planets were bright in the sky to watch too.

The first day there we hung out at the Hansens. The girl's had a bachelorette party for Sam. We swam in the pool and then grabbed some froyo. Plus, lots of talking. Kyle went to a bachelor party for Tyler. They played video and computer games until late.
Kyle spent all day Friday helping to decorate the cultural hall. The kids and I, hung out with my mom and sister. It was a busy day. My sister took me out to breakfast for my upcoming birthday.

We visited a park there my sister wanted to take the kids to. I think we might have lasted 30 minutes before we decided to head back home.

Then later that afternoon while Ellie was sleeping, Dexter, Melynn and I went to visit some model homes. They were all gorgeous and completely out of my budget. Their lowest base price was twice the cost of my home. I wanted to laugh when some of the sales people would infer that this would be my future house. Some of the closets in it were as big as our bedrooms. Dexter enjoyed testing out all the chairs.

Next up...Wedding Day! Of all the days for the wedding, it landed on the hottest one that week. It was around 115 degrees (and remember that's shade temp, and breezes just make it worse). The ceremony was great though. Tyler's face was so cute how he looked at Sam that whole day. There were some pictures afterwards...but there probably aren't very many good ones of us. We had grouchy kids (as with all the weddings) who were hot, and I was hot, and everyone else was HOT.

The married couple had a ring ceremony later that evening. They asked Dexter to be the ring bearer for it, and he was excited. He did so good, and was a little bit of entertainment up there. He managed to only drop the pillow once. ;)

The reception had some yummy fruit stuff, and then tacos! Dexter was most excited that his friends from the most recent weddings were there again. And again, they danced and played the night away.

Some of our friends (Frank and Chris Yi, Kelvin, and a member of their YSA bishopric) have formed a band, and performed at the wedding.

Then the last two days of our trip were spent at the Hansen's. There was lots of pool time there.

It also happened to be Danielle's birthday while we were there. We had a fun large dinner together, and then ate some cake and ice cream.

The next morning we left Las Vegas for home. Although the heat came with us, added in with a bit of humidity. Bleh.
