I SURVIVED!
Kyle had a work trip from Monday through Friday in Tucson, AZ. This meant a lot of Dexter and mom time. I have to say one of my favorite times is when Kyle gets home. It means a slight break from playing cars, spaceships, and changing diapers. But this meant none of that for quite a few days.
I just learned to take it day by day, and don't use up all the special fun stuff at the beginning of each day. That way at the end of the day when you're exhausted he'll be excited about watching a movie. Which is how we ended a lot of nights.
Special fun - use Uncle Jake's cell phone to take a bunch of random photos. |
Tuesday I spent all day making and decorating cupcakes for a Young Women activity. But I was happy to use the class I took three years ago finally into use.

Thursday I busted out a swimming pool. So glad I did. One hour of sitting outside while Dex just loved splashing around and running. Just wish we were able to get some shade in that backyard. From noon until 8 pm it's full, bright sun. That's what hats, water and lots of sunblock are for.

He even laid on his back...just kept his head up though. |
I was surprised with how well I lasted. For only being two months away from today, I didn't get too exhausted...and the house wasn't a wreck when Kyle got home. I was super proud of myself for watching Dex 24/7 for 5 days AND keeping the house decent.

Ahhh...girl clothes |
Oh...Kyle's work trip was good. He learned a bunch and got cool swag (well cool to him). His funny story was having to drive a Fiat as the rental car. Imagine European Smart Car. So two dudes (a coworker went to the training too) in a little car.
