Family Shooting

Okay so my family does different type of shooting...gun shooting.  My sister was going with friends and my dad, and I had not been in forever so Kyle and I tagged along. All sorts of guns were there: handguns, shotguns, blackpowder guns, and an AR-27(?) too.  Here's some pictures with descriptions:

Just another shot of what he's shooting.  Little milk jugs on a hill.

Yes I am so excited to be shooting.

That is a black powder shotgun. Not too much kick but you can't see where you shot because of the powder. blowing in your face.

That is some type of spiffy handgun.

Okay, so one of Melynn's friend's dad is a police officer and this was an expired bullet-proof jacket (by a few years).  He wanted to test to see if it would still work.

The firing range of many different types of guns going to be shot into the vest.

All shot up, but you can't really tell.

All but one of the shells was stopped.  Some though did make huge dents into that palm tree.  The dad said those dents could still kill someone because of the large shock and internal injuries.  Scary.  The one gun to make it through...the AR-27 (?).

It was fun to pull out the different shells and lead between the various layers of the vest.  We didn't get around to shooting shotguns and clay pigeons.  We're going to try and do that a different time.

  1. How about AR-15. I am sure its that cause I have never heard of an AR-27. And if its an AR-15 is similar to an M-16 and the M-4 Carbine.
