I was going to write yesterday, but the apartment manager called at 2:30 pm letting me know that the carpet cleaners would be visiting today at noon. Trying to get your house vacuumed and most furniture moved off the floor, on the busiest night of the week (church callings), and less than 24 hour notice wasn't the easiest. Kyle and I did it all last night though.

We're getting our carpets cleaned because...it's been 1 year!! We've rented here for a year and are renewing the lease. It passed by really quick and there are no complaints about the place. Sure there are quirks, but nothing to drive me out - unlike the basement, shudder. Only 6 more months though before starting to look for real at places...for real because I love to window shop and look at what's online.

Well our 4th of July evening was pretty great. We showed Dexter 2 fireworks. He loved the snaps on the ground, and then loved looking at sparklers. Dak did not get to touch the sparklers. We learned that the little snap things are great child occupiers even for days after. Especially cause he'll take one at a time, run to the end of the driveway, throw it down, cheer, and then run back. So it takes like half an hour to get through one little bag. Maybe at the Pioneer Days we'll get a few more of these.

My Aunt and her family had set up a spot to watch the Clearfield Fireworks and had invited us to come sit with them. We thought these would be good, but quick fireworks. They lasted for 30 minutes! It was a good show too. While waiting for them to start Dexter would wander or attack Shaylee. He was very up and close friendly to her, but she was nice about it. I've never seen him warm up to someone that quick.

Kyle went back to work on Thursday. He took Friday off though and enjoyed the whole morning to himself. Kyle always has projects he wants to work on, so I let him take some time to accomplish a few things. That afternoon though we drove to SLC and visited one of Kyle's long time friends at the Primary Children's Medical Center. Their little baby is 2 months old, but has a few health issues so is still in the NICU there.

The rest of the weekend was chill. I think Kyle and I even spent our Saturday evening date cleaning up the house. How romantic? It turns out that this helped the speed up of cleaning the place last night.
The rest of the week has passed by good. I have wiggled some time in to work on Kyle's B-Day present. Maybe it can get finished in a month. Probably not.

| Turned that last pile into this...any guess of what it's going to be? |
Dexter has had some food issues lately. First is that he's been SUPER picky. Like only wanting cracker type items, pears and bananas. He would not try anything else, or spit, claw or gag out what we would manage to get in for him to try. Even stuff he used to love. Yesterday it seems like this phase is over for now.

The other is that Dak's nap is changing. He's been transitioning
himself into one nap. I can't let him go to sleep before 12 because it messes up the day. However he can't quite stay up til then yet...he gets pretty sleepy by then. Like when I was cooking him some lunch and turned around to find this.
