After the house we took a little break. To gather our thoughts and because our time just got busy.

First time in a bounce house. Liked jumping, but not the other kids jumping. |

Coming down a slide. |

I think Dex liked it. |

Loves PB&J sandwiches, and running around in just a diaper |
Kyle had a friend, James, from high school come and stay with us for 5 days. While Kyle was at work he stayed up in the guest room, and emerge once Kyle came home. So at least I didn't have to do many awkward conversations. However, the two of them would stay up late playing games and talking.
James even got to celebrate the Fourth of July with us. That morning we walked to the Clearfield parade. I thought it started at 10 so we left then to walk since its really just around the corner, and our section is the end. It actually starts at 9 we found out, so we came in halfway through the parade.
 |
Learned to wave at the parade so he could get candy. |
Turns out this is best. We get some candy, but not heapings. We don't have to sit out/stand out in the heat for the 2.5 hours that it is. We'll probably plan it that way next year.
During the day we didn't do much to celebrate, just stayed inside our A/C house. Then in the evening, Dex was getting antsy so we went outside for fireworks. Dex had his little packets of snaps, and Kyle had his packets of the adult snaps. Then we had sparklers from last year, and threw in some ground bloomers. We go all out...not.

Amazed by the ground blooms. |
We let Dex stay up because our city does a 30 minute aerial show. It actually is really good. After sitting at a park all evening last year, we figured we could see it from our house or just down the street. So at 10 when it does start we grabbed our blankets and sat next to the community mailbox. Dexter loved seeing them. He would alternate between: whoa, bright, loud, cool, and other non-existent words.

Friday morning James left, and 2 hours later we left for the cabin to meet my family. My mom was the only one with us the first day. Then my dad and sister came up for Saturday and Sunday. We left Sunday evening as Kyle had work and I had a baby appt. on Saturday.
At the cabin we played games. Played outside a lot. Dex was actually old enough to enjoy all that it had. We swung, went on the teeter-totter, played hide-and-go-seek (much more fun with more than 2 people), horseshoes, and even visited Navajo Lake and Cedar Breaks.

Got to do it with GG. Loves it! |
 |
Swings were a favorite too. |

Who doesn't love reading under the porch in the middle of a forest? |

On a short walk at Navajo Lake. |

Walking on the dike. Water on one side, grassy meadow on the other. |

Taking pics with mom! |

Beautiful, rainy Cedar Breaks. Not a flattering picture (or shirt) of me, but oh well. See I'm big. |
 |
Dex was surprised at how high it was. We didn't let him near the edge. |

On Monday my appt. went well. I still have 12 pounds before I am equal with my final weight with Dexter, and I'm trying to not hit that. Baby is still sideways, but I like my current doctor. She's a lot more patient than my previous doctor with it, and is even very hopeful that Eleanor will turn before the due date. She's realistic in what she tells you, but is still optimistic with things.

A little more flattering pic showing the belly. |
And now I can also say, less than a month! Tiredness and slowness are starting to hit me. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
