Project Snow

Well it's definitely spring time.  One week will be beautiful weather. Then a random day will be this:
He was SOOO excited that it was snowing

He's in the back, just sitting in it.

Ellie and I sat on a sled instead

She didn't quite care for it

But I did manage to get her to smile

Blue sprayed snowman

Yeah she wasn't happy when trying to walk in it
It was about 3-4 inches of snow.  That's the most I've seen for a March snow storm to dump in one morning.

Thankfully, the snow and the cold weather only stuck around for like 2 more days.  By the weekend, it was great weather again.  Which was good because we had a bunch of projects planned.

First off, there were some pieces of furniture needing painting.  Over Friday and Saturday I painted two coats on a bookshelf and a dresser.  It wasn't a great job at all.  Lots of drips, and patches.  But I was feeling miserable (more on that later) so it's what happened.

Then, Kyle started working on our huge yard project coming up.  It is a HUGE project and change to the backyard.  We've broken it up into each weekend from now until June.  Saturday's was just edging the back portion of our lawn.  Separating the "garden" from the grass.

Our Saturday project
The dresser went into their room, but the bookshelf won't fit yet.  Not until Ellie's old enough for the bunkbed.  Sharing the room has been fun for the kids.  Maybe for Ellie a little too much.  Dexter lays down and goes right to sleep.  She on the other hand, is bouncing, climbing and doing crazy things all over.  It's calming down a little.
Beds are trampolines

She loves her bed
One of my other projects was making a growth chart.  It came about by Kyle mentioning we should by one.  I remarked that I had all the materials ready, just never alone time to do it.  Bam!  I got alone time to do it.  I think I've had the supplies for a good 9 months.

Hers isn't quite accurate, but she was 32 inches tall
