I've been trying to go to the gym lately. I actually worked out 3 times for 2 weeks straight...this week eh. But I hope to go tomorrow. It feels like a lot of work to only get 30 minutes in. It involves getting Dexter and I eaten and dressed fairly early in the morning. Driving to the air force base. Then trying to run while Dexter screams in the playpen at me. The base is free to use, and they have a "family workout room." Basically a room with machines and a pen. All I can get in is warm-up, quick stretch, and run for a mile (13 minutes). While I'm doing this he's screaming. Tears and boogers and loudness. Hopefully, he'll adjust to it as I try to adjust running longer and faster.

He was playing with Kyle's shoes and was just so happy about it. |
Dexter did get to have a fun playdate. We went over to my aunt's house where she was babysitting her grandson. I guess that makes them 2nd cousins. He's older than Dak by 2 months and 1 day. Hayden would walk circles around Dex and even try tugging on his shirt to tell him he's supposed to walk. But they played well with each other. Hayden learned that Dak prefers to stuff his hands full of snacks, and not just eat one at a time like him. Hayden was always signing "more" because Dak had grabbed all the ones I set out. While they played I got to chat with my aunt. It was fun. Dak and I both got social interaction...which is GREAT.

Such a crazy, but cute kid. |
The first few days of Spring Break Kyle's been going to school and working hard. Today he didn't, and I bugged him a lot. Even though he was still supposed to be doing work. I'll have to be better so he can get his homework done. Ugh.

Sliding a toy (or band-aid box) under the door. |
Monday was a little rough. Kyle was gone, and my back decided to be a pain. I learned that Dak is getting heavier and I pick him up [incorrectly] a lot. So after a few hot baths, resting and stretching... by Tuesday it was all better. I am now properly picking him up, or letting him crawl to his places. He's a pro at going up the stairs. We finally taught him how to go down. He's a little slower learning it, but is doing a great job at it. We're of course there spotting him either direction he goes.

Dad's proud moment...all on his own he was holding a game controller correctly . |
Going by that last picture, I would say Dak is progressing nicely.
