Crazy Train

Last week was a little busy.

Kyle had 3 projects all due Wednesday.  Until Wednesday night at 11:30 he sort of was mostly not around. He thankfully would take a few breaks and play with Dex.  Which is a nice relief for me.  Plus Kyle is loving Dexter's play ability right now.  Cars, swords, nerf stuff, etc.

Thursday while Kyle was at school, Dex and I took a train ride to SLC.  I was super nervous about doing this.  Just I didn't have a cell phone in case I got lost or couldn't find people, so I think that was a big part of it.
Loved watching things pass by.

We rode into SLC to meet up with my cousins who were at a DoTerra Convention.  Mariah (she's the one who we do game nights with) and then Carleen, her sister, were the two.  Carleen also had her 5 month old Ashton who was such a cute, light-weight baby.  We walked and talked around City Creek shopping center.  Much easier to do this not being packed like opening weekend.  Kyle met up with us there.  Then we rode the Trax and FrontRunner home with Kyle.
It was pretty dark when we arrived back to Clearfield.
Friday was pretty sweet.  One of my awesome friends and college roommates moved up to Clinton a bit ago.  She had told Kyle that she's free Friday evenings and could watch Dex for us.  We jumped on that offer!  The Elders Quorum was having a temple night, and we got to join them.  It was the busiest I've ever seen a temple.  At 6:45 they started the 7 pm session, and more than half the people in the chapel didn't get to go.  Craziness.  Anyways, it was super nice to go to the temple.  Feel the Spirit, peace and comfort that it can give you.
Already bonding...
She said Dexter did just fine with us gone.  This was his first non-family babysitting...other than daycare for my gym time.  Thanks Caryn!

Saturday I went to a funeral.  It was for a lady I visit teach's son who passed away from brain cancer.  It was sad because of how young he was, and leaving behind a young family.  But very touching with how he lived his life and touched so many others, even cracking jokes all through treatments and such.

Sunday was filled with doing church things.  Meetings, meetings, church, hometeaching, fireside.  The fireside was good and uplifting though.  One Clear Voice sang and presented beautiful messages.  It was so busy we only got a 5 minute video chat in with Nub Nub and Pop Pop.

I think Monday was the only day without something planned.  Well except for clean the house because it pretty much exploded over the weekend.  Gah!
How the house explodes: Batman!
However we finally got to have a play-date with someone!  A lady my age just moved in down the street with kids right above and right below Dexter.  They all came over and had fun playing with books, stuffed animals, and eating watermelon.  It was fun, and we plan on doing it again soon.  Yay!
Busy and tiring week.
This is for the grandparents, or whoever wants to watch.  Dak loves talking, and loves to talk on the phone with grandparents.  However, to him anything is a phone we put to our ear.  Be it his calculator, car, or in this case a kitchen timer.
