No Voice

I used to be so on top to write weekly, but these last few weeks have kicked my butt.  Some days I feel like I just barely function enough to keep Dex and I alive and somewhat sane.  The reasons are below.
Quiet activity: watching the choo choos.

It was quite the struggle to keep Dex a little calmer for his clavicle to heal.  At the second appt. with our pediatrician it hadn't actually healed any in the two weeks that he broke it.  So he told us the few options, like surgery, but he'd consult with the orthopedic.  All weekend we had that worry of what will it be?  Monday, the doctor called and said the orthopedic wasn't too concerned.  He said something like Dex is a kid, he'll figure out what hurts what doesn't.  It will eventually heal, maybe not beautifully or quick but eventually.
Getting into mischief, even with just one arm.

We have an appt. later this week.  Hopefully the last and everything will be okay.
18 weeks, and there is a bump

It eventually got pretty good with Dex and helping him out with his bone.  But then he got struck by a cold, and a nasty one at that.  Then because who else is he coughing and spreading boogers on, and the person who wakes up to comfort him in the night...Mom (me) got sick.

That would be an almost 2 year old, and a pregnant woman getting a really bad cold.  Which there is very little medicine or help for these two categories.  Dex is finally feeling better, but his little lymph nodes are huge on the sides.  And...he's cutting some molars in the back.  I try to help alleviate his many symptoms, but it's hard.

Playing Curious George online.  Jump to count.  Very fun for him.
I currently have no voice.  I have to whisper, and try to limit that.  Very hard to discipline or keep a kid out of trouble.  Along with no voice, I have a horrible deep cough...especially at night.  Our poor neighbors probably get woken up by it.

As you can tell it's a beautiful sight at our house.  Kyle is doing a great job trying to help when he's home, and just pray he doesn't get sick.  We have been blessed with good weather again, so hopefully winter with all it's colds and flus will all be put to rest.
