New Year, New Do

We got to spend a total of 11 days down in Vegas.

The day of the doctors was when Kyle and I had planned on having getaway in celebration of our 5 year wedding anniversary!  We had planned on dinner, movie, temple trip, but the last doctor visit didn't end until after 6:30 pm that night.  So the plans were changed.  Dexter did get to stay with the grandparents, aunt, and uncles. We still had our reservation at a hotel. So we had our night out at our hotel the JW Marriott, which was nice since it had been an exhausting physically and emotionally day.

After breakfast at the buffet, we just headed back to see Dex.  The days were nice in Vegas, so occasionally we would take Dexter outside.

Kyle and I a different morning did sneak out and got to do a temple visit.  Much needed since it had been a while.  That same day was Melynn's birthday.  So my mom and I surprised her with balloons and took her out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was yummy food, and fun.

She liked the balloons, but not as much as Dexter.
Also..there had been 6 total, but the all kept popping.

Kyle let me have a few times to myself.  The first one was...a haircut! Below is the type of cut I was going for.

At the bottom of the post you'll see the result in the family photos.  I just didn't take any normal photos of just me.
Trevor, Danielle and Milo got to come! We had extended our vacation just so we would have a few days of overlap with them.  I also got to go shopping with the sister in laws we looked through a mall and Plato's Closet.

And since everyone was together for the first time since Jake left on his mission we took some group photos.

There were other things we did like friends visiting, lots of video games for the boys, eating lots of candy, and more this trip.  But it comes down to we had lots of fun, but were ready to be back home.
