Can You Dig It

During the week I don't remember doing much. Since we're still potty training I didn't want to stress him out by going away from the house.  He did progress though.  It felt like 1 step forward, 2 steps back, 2 forward, 1 back.  It makes for some awesome days, and some frustrating days.
We had some visitors stop by on Sunday.  Aunt Suzie, Uncle Dale, and Leah were up here.  Leah was moving apartments at BYU and they were up here to help her. They dropped by to check out our new digs.

It's finally almost gardening time up here in Utah. My dad would call and tell me what is growing, and already being harvested in his garden...and I can't even plant anything yet.  Finally the frosts have gone, although we still get chilly at night.
This year I have an itch to do a garden.  I've tried random times at rentals, but there's only so much you can do.  The problem is, I'm not sure at how good I actually am.  This year will be an experiment.
There were two raised boxes left from the previous owners that I'm using.  Then we had weeded out a section.  I planted some lettuce and carrot rows.  Then had some seedlings of zucchini, squash, watermelon and broccoli.  Just a few, no need to go crazy.

He's my helper, just digging away and usually pantless if it's warm.
The one garden bed I have planted is my salsa garden.  It has 5 tomato plants, 1 tomatillo, 2 bell peppers, and 5 spicy pepper plants (all seedlings from my dad and a friend of his).  But as it gets chilly at night, I'm experimenting with a PVC greenhouse thing to keep it warmer and safer.

During the day we just play and chill.  Some days are really nice and warm.  So we play outside and love having friends come over.
We were watching one of those 5 year olds, and then we invited another neighbor friend over.
Swinging at the park.  Dexter loving it, Ellie screaming her head off at me.
Ellie and I chilled on a blanket on the grass watching...
these two 3 year old goofballs playing
Still loving to climb all over the slide
Some days are chilly, strong winds, rain, or lots of hail.  There was lots of that this last week.  So we play inside.
He figured how to crawl into her playpen. Part of her being in there was to protect her from him, guess that doesn't work anymore.
This little munchkin gets into everything
Practicing his piano.  I was trying to show how your thumb goes on middle C.  He kept pushing it so his nailside of his finger was pushing it down.  Weird.
First time in a pony tail.  Stick straight hair.
A birthday present arrived in the mail...Obi Wan Kenobi from the Texas Thompsons.  Epic battles are fought constantly since.
We found the Mr. Potato Heads
He was singing me some songs while playing.

Last weekend was putting the mulch in around the trees and planting my salsa garden.  I think that's all really.

This week starting on Tuesday Ellie was feeling a little off.  Then Wednesday she had a fever.  Thursday her fever reached 104.5.  She was so lethargic, constantly wanting to be held, and just so sad.  It was hard to see her like that.  We did give her some Tyenol to help bring it down a few times since it kept creeping high.  Finally on Saturday the fever was gone.  She was still really weak and exhausted, and finally gave us a little smile. She didn't show symptoms for anything really, we just figure it was some virus.
When she was first starting and being cuddly
Full fever and cuddles.  She had death grips on my so I couldn't put her down
