Catchup with May

I'm a little behind.  So this is a post with lots of pictures, and a bit of ramblings of all that we've been up to the last month or so.

She fell asleep like this one day

We went to bake cookies and couldn't.  Our oven apparently broke and only got to 100 degrees.  They look okay in the picture, but were super raw

Silly kid

Dexter likes making hearts with his hands

Random Sunday walk home from church

Got lots of seedlings to plant

Even more!

Our never ending project is this back section.    All the dark brown is wood chips that we added.  About 20+ wheelbarrow loads of woodchips.  And only half done.

Sleeping in the car

Cheetah shoes do go with cheetah print outfits

I was getting a YW activity read, and this little girl was helping me water the flowers.  Really just one flower, but it was watered well.

Love when they just want to snuggle with Dad
One night I came home from YW, to see Ellie have a puffy eye and it starting to change colors.  She had tripped and hit her face on their play table.  It was this, then got worse, and worse coloring.  It took 1 1/2 weeks for it to disappear.
The night it happened

The next morning's black eye.
The baby's room is quite a disaster.  But the worse part is, is that it is pink and has princess wallpaper all around it.  Finally one day I figured that at least I could take the princess paper off.  Hopefully I can get around to actually painting it before he comes.  Once this baby comes the chances of painting it go waaaaay down.
Cream, pink, and princesses everywhere

Papering wasn't even complete, was bad, and torn everywhere

The ceiling had spots of just not even painted.  That's not a shadow around it, just not painted a good 6 inches around the light.

Took off the paper!

A moment of playing together, and there was lots of giggles
Dexter got to go to his first father and son's campout. He was SOO excited to go.  Sleep in a tent and go camping.  However, it rained the entire time.  I think Kyle said they had a short 20 minute break or so, but otherwise it was cold and wet.  Kyle said the tent was soaked, the sleeping bags got wet.  Just not a great time. Dexter had fun, but he came back saying he wants a regular campout.  In other words, a non wet one.
Everyone round the fire

Kyle didn't enjoy the campout too much

One of the times of a break in the rain, and/or very light rain

Bundled up and driving home

Ellie sleeping in on Mother's day in my bed

We had fights with the swallows all over our front porch, I eventually won.

Enjoying a walk together

She was having a rough day, and fell asleep with some snuggles

We got a swing for our upcoming playset, but wanted to test it out in the basement.  It's super fun.

Ellie loves the laydown way, and Dexter likes to help push her

It can even hold adults!

Getting some exercise in on the trampoline

There's two Ellies?!
Dexter gave his first talk in Primary.  He did a great job!  He stayed focused on giving it, and wasn't shy or nervous at all.  Kyle got to help him give it, because I figured I'd start crying up there.

Morning snuggles with Ellie

Then we went to get Dexter up

Dexter piled me with all the stuffed animals

Another rough day.  Ellie constipation, and Dexter just sensitive.  Reading and snuggling put these two out for naptime.

Almost 3 weeks after the cookie debacle, we got a new oven.
The weather for the past month has been awesome.  So much rain (comparatively for this area).  Most weekends have been rainy, then during the week each afternoon/evening seems to have a thunderstorm or rain cloud pass through.  It's nice and we keep praying for more.  The picture below is from a crazy one that rolled in quickly.  Lots of lightning and thunder, and then hail as well.
Ellie loved watching the rain and hail come down
