Come Yi, Come Yi

While in Vegas we found some pictures of my dad as a baby.  It's definitely where he and Dexter get their coloring from, but any other similarities?
He didn't like the pictures
Dexter had his birthday!  He is 5!!
He got shots the day before his birthday.  So then on his birthday he was really sore and not feeling well.  I even registered him for Kindergarten that day.  During lunch, he and Ellie fell asleep on the couch for 4 hours.  He felt much better after that rest, and we celebrated his birthday with some cupcakes and ice cream.

That weekend we had the Yi's, Wendy and Chris, come visit us with baby Z.  Wendy and I visited with Caryn and Amanda for a girl's night.
Flynn enjoyed, and at times was jealous of baby Z

At Flynn's 9 month checkup we learned that his hydronephrosis had not disappeared.  This meant that he would now have to have an x-ray procedure called VCUG.  The basics of it is that they put a catheter in him and fill up his bladder with a dye.  Then they take many x-rays to see why there is fluid buildup in his kidneys.  They repeated this twice.  It is not comfortable at all and required pretty much just pinning Flynn down and trying to occupy him for the 30 minutes it took.  Now we wait and see.  The main concerns with hydronephrosis is that it can lead to bladder, and kidney infections easily since the urine fluid is never entirely emptying.  It also causes discomfort from the pressure of buildup.
Afterwards he was pretty traumatized.
