I was afraid there'd be lots of Pokemon's wandering around but there were only 2 or 3 at each Halloween activity.
Making the costumes:
I kept the costume making pretty easy this year.
Kyle bought his Pokemon Go trainer sweater, and just used things we already had around.
Whitney - I bought a navy sweatshirt jacket and with some fleece sewn on and puffy paint it was easy peasy.
Dexter - while shopping we found a Pikachu jacket that was perfect. Plus it can be used longer than just Halloween. Finding yellow pants, even sweat pants, was tricky. Instead I bought some flannel and made some. They aren't well sewn, but they lasted all they needed too.
Ellie - hers was the trickiest. Looking for bulbasaur costumes online didn't come up with great results for her size, and our budget. While out shopping I saw a fleece jacket that was the perfect colors, and she needed a jacket too. So we went this route. She needed a hat for bulbasaur. Fleece is my go to, and did not disappoint. Made a quick beanie with some details on it - there's vine whips on it.
The tricky part was her backpack. She wanted to be able to carry her candy in it.
All together here's her outfit -
Flynn - we were given a duck costume. Duck plus waddling toddler you practically have a psyduck. So with some cutting and gluing, a little handstitching...we turned it into that.
Here's some different angles of their costumes:
Now for an extra fun touch I made some felt trick or treating bags - pokeball style.
And here's everyone all together at the ward trunk or treat.

The big kids were excited to go down our street. Flynn got sick that night and missed out.
