Along the Trail

We took a few days to recover from so much fun, and then got ready for the next batch of visitors.
They watch your every move...

Helping me fold up some laundry

Took a long workout walk, with a break at the park

More Carrot Game!!!
Then we had Katy and Chris Clarke come visit us with their son McPherson.  He's only 10 months younger than Dexter.  We had lots of fun when they were here.  Once McPherson warmed up to us, him and Dex were crazy little boys.
Accompanying Chris' practice
They loved playing with cars, trucks, bikes, jumping on couches, and just everything else little boys love to do.  Ellie just followed along after them.
Waiting for the group to arrive

Katy loves being active so we planned for a hike in our beautiful mountains.  A friend, Ryan, met up with us at Brighton Ski Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon.  There was a hike there called Lake Mary.  Glad there was lots of helpers.  The whole out of shape thing still made me pretty slow.
Here we go!

Stream with waterfall halfway up...

It was a pretty view, and going down was a lot better than walking up.  Ryan was awesome and carried Dex on his shoulders a lot of the up, and then for some of the downhill parts. Katy helped carry Ellie some of the times when I was getting pretty slow.

Enjoying the scenery and some snacks

All the kids were exhausted

Finished!
The next day we had another adventure.  To the Union Pacific Train Museum.  We just explored the outdoor trains.

Dex was super excited when Chris helped him into here.

Water fountains captivate the little boys too

Eventually they had to leave us to continue on their trip.

Ever since moving up to this area people have talked about the air show.  We have never been able to go due to it being cancelled for budget reasons, or out of town that weekend.  This year we finally did!  Well Kyle and Dexter did.
With Dad at the Air Show!

We figured Ellie wouldn't care at all to be by the super loud sounds and out in the sun all day.  Instead I stayed home with Ellie and would catch glimpses of it if I went outside.

They only lasted a couple hours.  They left before the Thunderbirds.  Kyle was a little sad about that.
other things we've been up to in between.
Sometimes I sneak in to watch the peaceful sleepers

Sweet little boy

Making messes...as always

Playing on the computer??

Nope! Talking to Aunt Audrey.

She randomly was just combing his hair, and he didn't care

All ready for church
